South Dade Gets a Much Needed Makeover

May 19, 2022

After 14 years, the school finally got a much needed upgrade that made it clear that these buildings are the home of Buc Nation. The most important part of the renovation process was the repainting of the school. The school, which was previously orange and light blue, was coated in royal blue and grey paint to be more specific to the school’s colors. “The school was built in 2008, and nothing has been done since then,” said principal J.C. De Armas. He felt that it was important to attract new students to the school with all of the building happening in Homestead.

I think that being in a freshly painted building, inside and out, makes us all feel good.

— J.C. De Armas

Besides the painting of the outside of the school, new details included door wraps, branding in the office, and landscaping upgrades. The goal is also to paint the insides of the building as well.
